Hexcel is currently seeking a Data Analyst for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Matrix location.

Summary

Support the Hexcel Matrix Systems, Salt Lake City site with data analytics to drive manufacturing and execution excellence. Develop measures for process performance within and between functions such as planning, purchasing, operations, quality, and logistics. Gain insight into new areas of optimization opportunity by connecting data from our ERP, Demand Management, Lab Testing, and MES systems. Turn data into information, information into reports, and reports into business decisions.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Use statistical methods to find cost savings and optimization opportunitiesDevelop process performance measures and turn those into scalable data modelsAnalyze large data sets to find complex patterns and trendsCollaborate with and support functions, such as planning, purchasing, operations, engineering, and quality, through intelligent data analytics.Extract Data from data warehouses and core business systems, such as our ERP, Demand Management, Lab Testing, and MES systems.Streamline repetitive tasks through data summaries and automationPerform ad hoc data analysis

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Math, Statistics, or similar fieldExperience in data mining, analysis, and reportingDemonstrated proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.Ability to work cross functionally5 years of relevant work experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience in complex formulas, pivot tables, and VBAPower BI, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and Power Query experience preferred.Experience with model-driven and canvas PowerApps preferred. Understanding of manufacturing processes, workflows, and key performance indicators (KPIs)Proficiency in ERP data structures with knowledge of AX2012 or D365 preferredAPICS certification preferred
