Job Title: Security Analyst Job Description Seeking a Temporary Cybersecurity Analyst to support our security compliance processes. This role utilizes data analysis techniques and written communication skills to process vendor security assessments, vulnerability management reports, conduct access audits, and more. The ideal candidate has a background in audits (finance, IT, or Security) and a keen eye for process improvement. Responsibilities + Vendor Security Reviews: Send out questionnaires to prospective vendors, evaluate their compliance reports and questionnaire responses, and ensure they meet Aurora's security standards. + Vulnerability Management: Review and analyze vulnerability management reports, track vulnerabilities over time, monitor their remediation status, identify potential risks, and recommend remediation actions. + Access Audits: Conduct access audits by reaching out to managers and system owners to verify and document access controls. + Documentation: Create and maintain detailed process documentation to ensure clarity and consistency in security operations. + Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving existing processes and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. + Reporting: Generate summary reports on security compliance activities and present findings to relevant stakeholders. Essential Skills + Working proficiency in data analysis - must be comfortable using "vlookup" in Excel/Sheets or SQL joins. + Working proficiency in creating process documentation and summary reports. + Extensive proficiency in verbal and written communication, especially with communicating precise expectations and action items. + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic Project Management skills + Ability to identify and implement process improvements. + Scripting in Python or Golang (able to write functions from scratch) + Experience in security operations, particularly in processing vendor security reviews, vulnerability management, and access audits. Work Environment 100% remote Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
