Together. **Summary**     The Data Analyst in the Data Analytics group is responsible for managing data analytics projects, is a key contributor in firm data strategy and driving innovation, utilizing advanced analytics techniques to inform decision-making process. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, technical skills, passion for innovation, and understanding of how leveraging data can help achieve business goals. The Data Analyst role utilizes tools, such as Power BI, to deliver high-impact analytics and reporting, designing complex dashboards, models and resolving data integrity issues. The role is a key driver in large-scale analytical projects, requiring collaboration with stakeholders to prioritize business problems. Key skills include proficiency in SQL, Python, DAX, advanced data analysis, data visualization and SSRS report development. The Data Analyst role fosters a collaborative environment, drives continuous improvement and contributes to firm data strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate deliverables, aligning data initiatives with business goals, staying updated with industry trends and best practices. This role works directly with functional leads across the Firm, performing research, analysis and data presentation to enable the firm to make informed decisions, meet external client requirements and track all aspects of financial performance. **Location** This position is located in our Reston, Washington D.C., New York, or Chicago offices and offers a hybrid work schedule. **Responsibilities**   + Data Strategy: Key contributor to the implementation of firm's data strategy initiative. Develop and implement analytics solutions in alignment with the firm's data strategy, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and security. + Data Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain data reporting tools and systems, utilizing the firm's data analytics platform (Power BI). + Data Analysis: Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to drive strategic decision-making. + Continuous Improvement and Automation: Develop solutions to streamline processes, enhance data quality and drive intelligent solutions. Research and evaluate new optional solutions and technologies. + Predictive Analytics and Modeling: Develop predictive models to forecast future trends, client behaviors, and market opportunities, helping the firm stay ahead of the competition. + Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with different departments (e.g., marketing, finance, legal) to understand their data needs, provide insights, and support data-driven decision-making processes. **Desired Skills**    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large, complex datasets, identify trends and provide actionable data-driven insights. + Highly proficient in data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) + Demonstrated experience in report development (SSRS/Power BI Paginated Reporting) + Highly proficient in Microsoft office, with advanced skills in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, VBA, and data visualization techniques. + Experience with advanced statistical methods and data modeling. + High proficiency in SQL and programming languages (Python/R/VBA) or other relevant programming languages. + Demonstrated experience in creation of complex queries, data manipulation, and automation of data processes. + Experience with Machine Learning and AI implementation. + Ability to work in agile environment and to adapt to changing business needs. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + High attention to detail and level of accuracy in work. + Willingness to learn and grow in the rapidly changing data environment.   **Minimum Education**    + Bachelor's Degree in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field. **Certificates** + Certifications not required, but a plus in areas such as data analytics, GenAI, project management, data visualization. **Minimum** **Years of Experience**   + 1 year of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role including experience with data modeling, statistical analysis and processes. **Essential Job Expectations** While the specific job requirements of a DLA Piper position may vary depending upon scope of the job and area of specialty, there are certain universal requirements that are expected of all DLA Piper employees, which include but are not limited to:   + Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties. + Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner. + Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product. + Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required. + Foster positive work relationships. + Comply with all firm policies and practices. + Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed. + Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment. + Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.      Our employees are expected to embrace and uphold our firm values as a part of our DLA Piper culture. The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $86,650-$120,033 depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
