Data Analyst
Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL Server, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and data analysis, with knowledge of Python or PowerShell as a valuable bonus. Key Responsibilities: + Design, write, and optimize complex queries in SQL Server for extracting and analyzing data. + Develop and maintain BI (Business Intelligence) dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate key insights to stakeholders. + Analyze large datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve business outcomes. + Collaborate with departments to gather requirements, ensuring data solutions meet business needs. + Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business objectives. + Utilize Python or PowerShell to automate repetitive data tasks and processes (a plus). + Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and testing. + Stay up to date with industry trends and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and practices. Requirements Qualifications: + Proven expertise in SQL Server, with strong skills in writing and optimizing queries, stored procedures, and views. + Proficiency in designing and delivering BI dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms. + Solid understanding of data analysis principles, database concepts, and business reporting. + Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail in data validation and interpretation. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex findings for non-technical stakeholders. + Experience with Python or PowerShell for scripting and automation of data tasks. + Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, or cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS). + Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques and tools such as statistical modeling or machine learning (a plus, but not required). + Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
