Data Analyst and Technologist

The Data Analyst and Technologist is a role which sits within our wider Flexible Pipe Systems – Integrity Management (FPS-IM) business, involved in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data from systems that inspect and monitor offshore flexible pipes.

Partner with the best

Delivering a key role in the Solutions Group of Baker Hughes’ Flexible Pipe Systems business, you will be involved in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data from systems that inspect and monitor offshore flexible pipes. Working as part of a small team, you will be involved in a wide range of projects where data has been collected and must be processed, analysed, interpreted and reported. There is also a 'hands-on' element to the role of designing, planning and executing laboratory work. .

As an Integrity Management Technologist you will be responsible for:

Designing, planning and executing laboratory tests and experiments

Analysing data from laboratory and offshore tests and inspections.

Developing and automating data analysis methods to cope with regular monitoring data from multiple sources.

Supporting the offshore teams with data analysis/checking.

Reporting results of tests, inspections and monitoring to internal and external customers

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have Bachelor's degree

Have experience of MAPS Studio data analysis software

Have a natural curiosity for solving problems and a creative, analytical and logical mind to look for ways of improving our processes

Have an excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel including macros and data analysis add-ins

Have the ability to work to tight deadlines

Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
