Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst.
The Research Analyst will assist in the development and maintenance of analytic datasets, incorporating data from multiple sources including prospective cohort study data, clinical trials, and qualitative data. The Research Analyst will develop and implement study designs while maintaining data quality assurance procedures to ensure validity and reliability of study results. The Research analyst is critical to execute our nationally federally funded and non-sponsored qualitative and mixed-methods research. A Research Analyst that specializes in qualitative research will work mostly with primary data collected through large multi-site studies and clinical trials in support of NIH and DoD funded research.
Job Responsibilities:
Write detailed documentation/specifications for analysis data sets and related files Administer and analyze survey dataPerform qualitative data analysis including coding of interview/focus group transcriptsModerate focus groups and conduct interviews Identify qualitative research priorities and design qualitative research plans relevant to the scope of the research program needs Perform analysis for qualitative research and document analysis using NVivo and/or Dedoose Max QDA etc Participate and support qualitative coding training courses for research staff as required and/or needed Conduct literature searches as needed using PubMed and other literature databasesSupport grant proposal submissions and support funder reports for grants Contribute original thoughts hypotheses and analysis to write reports abstracts and manuscripts under faculty supervision Perform other duties as required by Directors/PI to support research study developmentMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have previous experience with qualitative research methods and analytical software (preferred NViVo).
Masters Degree, 1 year or more of experience conducting qualitative research.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience conducting interviews and moderating focus groups.
Experience developing and executing research protocols.
Experience with academic writing for publication and grant application purposes.
Ability to critically analyze and present research studies to scientific audiences, including transplant professionals.
Strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and writing skills. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Strong time management and ability to manage a remote work environment and work with a hybrid team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of organ transplant databases and organizations Knowledge about basic concepts related to the operation of the national transplant system

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
