Data Analyst I
To analyze ultrasonic test data received from Sperry’s Non-Stop test units(s). Generate lists of suspected rail defects within the respective Railway authorities’ timescale and compliance requirements, ensuring the data is transferred to the appropriate database/individuals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Using specialist software, interpret digital images to analyze ultra sonic data, identifying suspect rail defects to the agreed criteria but applying acquired judgment and knowledge.
· Using appropriate checking mechanisms, review track positioning data files and make corrections using comparison against standard formats.
· Using reporter software classify and prioritize images to the agreed individual railway industry specified criteria.
· Using Twin View, compare previous and current data sets to the agreed time cycle and to required compliance legislation
· Using Global Positioning System co-ordinates and a railway mapping tool, establish to 100% accuracy the actual vehicle route against the predetermined route and produce the track tested report
· On a daily basis carry out all necessary archiving associated with the role

All work to be completed in the Shelton CT office unless otherwise described.
