Data Analyst II (Hybrid)
What You'll Do As a Data Analyst in our Actuarial Modernization area, you’ll support the sourcing, transformation, and analysis of data for our actuarial modeling and financial partner teams. This role provides opportunities in both analyzing data and development. This is how you’ll spend your day: Conduct data engineering and analysis tasks to meet business requirements and maximize effectiveness. Develop understanding of technical aspects of data management functions including creating, loading, transforming, cleansing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data. Work with teammates and business partners to build technical solutions that are reusable, scalable, fast, and maintainable through large datasets, both clean and un-clean. Focus on growing as an engineer. Learn existing tools, resources and processes. Work with multiple development technologies including: Python, SQL, and Java. Who You Are Bachelor Degree in a Business or Technical field plus 2+ years of related analytics, consulting, project management, or equivalent experience preferred Planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills Ideal Candidates will have 2+ years of ETL technology experience and exposure to many of the “preferred” skills/technologies listed below. Additional preferred technical experience: Programming languages such as Python or Java Ability to write advanced SQL queries and interpret data models Cloud experience (AWS) Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, etc. Agile exposure ETL Security knowledge Experience working with Bitbucket, Git, Github, and testing/automation development Strong written and verbal communication Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $71300 - $96000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
