POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for establishing and maintaining product master data management capabilities that includes the development of data standards, data quality rules, reports, audit meetings with appropriate functions, business process improvement and data governance meetings.
This role will support master data management, data quality and data governance program initiatives and operations, with responsibility for participating and leading efforts in gathering requirements, data analysis and issue resolution, and business process simplification for several data domains.
SPECIFIC REPONSIBILITIES
Partner with data owners and data stewards to develop data standards for critical data attributes.Evaluate product data with reference to data standards to identify data defects.Establish important metrics to proactively prevent product master data from causing supply chain and customer issues.Support monthly data governance meetings to report on data quality health, distributes data quality reports, discuss process gaps, process improvement opportunities, deciding on proposed changes, and solution implementation.Develop policies, procedures, and checklists to promote standard methodologies for data governance and contribute to business outcomes.Support continuous improvement of Data Quality using automation for data analysis, data quality checks and scorecards, and drive data clean-up in compliance with data standard.Develop and maintain Data Catalog and associated metadata to improve data discovery and governance.Develop capability to systematically compare product data across systems and identify discrepancies.Engage with business owners (functions) who own data on the product to create cross-business processes for creating, changing, and discontinuing products in a way that keeps the product data in-sync across all applicable ERP systems.Contribute to value stream mapping sessions across relevant ERP systems to identify process gaps that lead to customer order issues or rework.Contribute to Practical Process Improvement (PPI), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions and to close process and data gaps across businesses and systems.Support accountability mechanisms that drive insight to issues, causes, and resolutions by addressing customer concerns and partner concerns, seeking support from other functions and leadership when necessary.QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in business, systems, or data science3-5 years’ experience in Master Data management, Data quality and Data Governance.Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred.Experience in data definition and, business rules creation.Possess high levels of data accuracy and attention to detailStrong analytical skills, combined with practical business knowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish relationships across various functional disciplines.Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Charts)Possess strong applied technical knowledge of Word, Access, and ProjectFamiliar with master data structures and ERP systemsFamiliar with principles of product lifecycle managementKnowledgeable about Key Performance Indicators, business process improvement
