Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst-Logistics - Full Time Days Variable Shifts; Monday through Friday - Pharmacy.

In this role, the successful candidate The Logistics Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and analysis of databases of automated dispensing machines and other automated devices. In addition, the Logistics Analysts manages staff, through necessary training, and troubleshoots hardware/software related issues as they pertain to the use of the automated dispensing systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Creates, updates, and maintains automated dispensing systems departmental drug databases in coordination with Epic. Creates, updates, and maintains automated dispensing systems user databases in coordination with staffing and departmental/interdepartmental policies. Monitors controlled substance circulation and other designated non-controlled medications for possible diversion. Develop programs and design workflows to maximize efficiencies of the automated dispensing process. Implement these programs/workflows with training modules and subsequent monitoring for compliance/optimization. Reviews, monitors, and adjusts daily automated systems pharmaceutical restock requests to pharmacy wholesaler ordering systems. This includes updating databases and system pars depending on medication availability/utilization.  Analyses information, distributes information/resources, and trains/monitors Pharmacy staff and other inter-departmental staff to facilitate accomplishing departmental goals Coordination with the Omnicell Site Administrator and NYU IT resources for all necessary maintenance and implementations. Generate reports and trends of use of medications, from Automated Dispensing Machines including discrepancy reports, and forwards reports to the appropriate manager(s) for appropriate action/ follow-up when issues are identified.  Assists in the maintenance of databases for other pharmacy related systems including but not limited to Packaging devices, inventory control devices, and bar code generation programs. Assists in other area of the operation of the Department of Pharmacy as appropriate and as directed.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy
New York State Pharmacy Technician License
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification or advanced systems training of at least one pharmacy system and 1-2 years of systems implementation/system management experience..

Required Licenses: Cert Pharmacy Technician.

Preferred Licenses: Registered NYS Pharmacy Tech

Preferred Qualifications:
3 years experience in a hospital pharmacy or equivalent pharmacy experience with two or more automation systems. Advanced certification or training in the management of SQL databases

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $54,200.00 - $77,259.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
