Data Analyst Research

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Assessment and Evaluation, the Data Analyst supports the implementation of student research at the Drexel College of Medicine. This individual works closely with the office of Assessment and Evaluation and the Office of Medical Student Research to support the third year medical education research block, the Medical Scholars Research Program, and the MSSRF Research Program. This position will support students on their research methods, data collection, management, analysis, and reporting. Primary activities consist of helping with the collection and management of data from a diverse set of technological platforms, applying statistical analysis and preparing results and reports. Other responsibilities include supporting the medical education research
program.

Essential Functions

Data analysis and statistical consultations of student research activity Maintain a database of academic productivity for student research ie: presentations, posters, projects. Communicate updates to stakeholders. Assist students with their research publication and conference submissions. Assist students with their IRB materials and submissions to COEUS Serve as an examination proctor for all Phase examinations (Phase 1 exams and NBME Shelf exams) May include travel to West Reading campus Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of Master's Degree. Minimum of 5 years experience Mastery of Excel and the whole MS Office Suite, experience with SPSS, R or other statistical software. Mastery in surveya pplications such as Survey Monkey or Qualtrics, knowledge of basic statistics and data
visualization, knowledge of data analysis and data preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate must be highly organized and excel in customer service Candidate must have a track record of managing multiple projects on time with demonstrated ability to problem solve,multi-task and grasp the big picture while being detail oriented Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate with a strong commitment to teamwork

Additional Information 

This is a Full-time temporary position classified as non-exempt.  The pay offered is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
