Located in a U.S. Navy mega-port and principal commercial area, Norfolk Ship Repair's (NSR s) primary customer is the U.S. Navy. The NSR shipyard is perfectly positioned to serve the requirements and needs of the Navy. The NSR team strives for superior customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of a quality product. NSR team also maintains extensive safety awareness programs, environmental protection best practices, and a clean, orderly facility. Currently we are looking for someone to fill a Program Control Analyst/Data Analyst position with our Supply Chain department.
The ideal candidates will be tech-savvy analyst with data processing skills who will want to grow and develop by initiating analysis on unique data sets.
This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI dashboards, analyzing complex datasets, and providing data-driven insights to enhance business operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data visualization.
+ Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support Supply Chain needs.
+ Analyze and interpret large datasets to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
+ Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to improve data accuracy and efficiency.
+ Integrate data from multiple sources, including Excel, SQL databases, and cloud-based platforms.
+ Collaborate with teams across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful reports.
+ Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency.
+ Provide user training and support on Power BI dashboards and analytics tools.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
+ 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
+ Strong expertise in Power BI, Power Query, and dashboard development.
+ Proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
+ Experience working with large datasets and integrating data from multiple sources.
+ Familiarity with data visualization best practices and storytelling through data.
+ Experience in the U.S Navy industry is preferred but not required.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
