Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Summer 2025 Data and Analytics Intern (REMOTE) to join the the Electrical Wiring Systems Team. The Data and Analytics Intern will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of analytical models and processes to support decision-making in the business. This opportunity will provide the right candidate with valuable experience in the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of business analytics.

 

What Will You Do?

 

• Will work with business customers to determine how location intelligence data and analytic solutions can be leveraged to provide business insights for business strategies, capabilities, and processes
• Identify existing analytics solutions, utilization (adoption), design (front end and back end)
• Utilize scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
• Evaluate reporting data model to support automated and standardized reporting
• Support team to present insights, key learnings, and potential areas of new opportunity that are identified
• Identify opportunities to leverage data for decision making and to address key challenges
• Translate business requirements into actionable items
• Support additional with projects and duties as needed.

Education

• Applicants must be working on completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Previous experience working with analytics tools such as Tableau, R, and/or Python is a plus. one-year coursework in majors above with demonstrated experience in statistical analysis.

 

Requirements


• Must be available full-time (up to 40 hours/week) in the summer.
• Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
• Must have excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level.
• Must have the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions. Strong statistical analysis skills are required.
• Exceptional computer skills are required, including extensive knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software.
