The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager is responsible for creating and analyzing complex data sets to provide insight and support strategic decision-making within the organization. The Business Intelligence Manager works closely with the Executive Vice President to gather business requirements, develop analytical solutions, and present actionable insight in regard to day-to-day operations. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis techniques, proficiency in BI tools, and excellent communication/presentation skills.
Please note, this role can have flexibility in being based out of any of our military locations and/or corporate office.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with military senior leadership to understand business needs and requirements for data analysis and reporting.
+ Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
+ Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources to create consolidated datasets for analysis.
+ Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
+ Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions or challenges.
+ Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial data and accompanying analysis as may be requested.
+ Develop and implement data quality standards and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
+ Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and data interpretation.
+ Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in BI and data analytics.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data infrastructure and ensure data security and compliance.
+ Communicate findings and recommendations to military senior leadership through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
+ From a strategic planning perspective, collaborate with military senior leadership to create, maintain and monitor annual operating budgets for communities within the portfolio.
+ Update, maintain and publish selected financial performance reports reflecting specified KPl(s).
+ Create, develop and publish new modeling approaches from time-to-time as may be needed or requested.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
● 2+ years experience in data collection and trend analysis, a similar role or the equivalent thereof, is highly preferred.
Required Education/Training:
• Preferred minimum baccalaureate degree from a reputable college or university with a major in economics, mathematics, statistics, finance, accounting or similar● Demonstrated proficiency with data-analysis related tools; e.g., Microsoft Excel● Experience with financial software and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; experience with CoStar, SalesForce, Tableau, Real Estate Information Services (REIS) highly desirable
Required Skills and Abilities:
● Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills● Excellent presentation and communication skills● Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with a keen attention to detail● Precision in data collection, entry, and analysis to ensure accurate results.
Working Conditions:
● Must have ability to work non-standard hours
