Key Responsibilities: Manager Data Analyst – IT is a data driven leader with a passion for data and analytics, the willingness to dig deep into details, and the ability to assess the big picture and identify process improvement. Developing and maintaining good relationships with key partners across Digital Technology and Product teams with a good understanding of the business, as well as leading, coaching, training, and motivating a hard-working team are keys to success in this role. This team would be integral to interpret data gathered from various sources and interpret patterns and trends and turns it into information which improves Operational Excellence (OX). This role requires a communicator with passion for finding the signal in data and ability to come up with improvements to applications and metrics to be measured. Should be comfortable enough to communicate with the developers, platform teams, business analysts, user experience and the leadership in influencing change based on the data. The team will partner with Customer Travel Experience (CTE) product owners on operational metrics. This role + Deeply understands the digital performance of the applications/systems influencing the business functionality of applications/systems + Understands the right questions to be asked on the platform data tied to the CTE + Develops streamlined and comprehensive data analytics workstreams + Areas of focus will include, but are not limited to: + Data Visualizations + Application performance analysis + Error patterns, top factors contributing to errors + Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: recommendations for performance and greater scalability + Modeling and coding of data + Manager for 3-4 data analysts, hires, provides technical guidance and domain expertise to the team + Lead analysis of new platform updates and application releases, learn the existing application/systems to research system performance, dig into errors, response time, service logs, define new data collection and tagging, create universal dashboards + Build trusted data products including dashboards and reporting products to support Digital Technology and Customer Travel Experience leadership that helps them make data driven decisions on application performance + Communicate and share updates with senior leadership, along with putting together regular presentations. + Manage the deployment and upkeep of Power BI workspaces and SQL scripts that convert log data into actionable insights + Ensure seamless integration of BI solutions with current systems and data sources + Keep abreast of industry developments, tools, and standard processes in BI and data analytics + Lead reviews of models, solution strategies, and code with the team to demonstrate its collective experience and reviews of solutions with business/product management teams to ensure that they are acceptable United values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply. We are always looking for individuals who will bring something new to the table. **Qualifications** What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data science or another quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research) + 4+ years in Data Analysis, Business intelligence, analytics, and data engineering, with 3+ of those years working for a Fortune 500 company. + 3+ years in a manager role + Experience putting together presentations for partners and leaders at a MD and VP level and interact with all levels of management + Proven Team Manager, ability to communicate a vision, inspire the team towards that vision and provide support to achieve it + Expert level BI dashboarding experience (e.g. PowerBI, Tibco Spotfire, etc...) to produce important, elegant dashboards. Advanced Excel knowledge + Ability to study/understand business needs, design data/technology metrics that connect business processes with quantifiable platform outcomes, Understand important metrics / Goal Settings from teams to large organizations + Advanced level SQL skills + Strong problem-solving skills, using data to tackle problems + Outstanding writing, communication, and presentation skills + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): + Master's degree in Information Systems, Aviation management or related degree, MBA + Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Enterprise Data Warehouse certifications, Palantir, Client Side performance metrics tools e.g. Quantum Metrics + Experience with DataDog / AppD / Kibana is a big plus + Experience with Enterprise monitoring systems is a plus + Experience with Palantir Foundry, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio + Previous airline or travel industry experience is a plus + Experience with AWS - Redshift, Quicksight, Athena + Experience with Big Query + Experience with Quantum Metrics and Akamai, Technologies and languages: Python, Spark, R, etc. + Continuous integration & delivery using Agile methodologies + Data Engineering experience. The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $149,600.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
