Position Summary The Data Analytics Manager is an individual contributor who will (i) help multiple Bank functions develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting, (ii) configure and implement data analytics solutions, (iii) perform quantitative research utilizing internal and external data and present to functional area leadership and/or management, and (iv) maintain key reports, automating them where appropriate. We seek candidates with advanced programming capabilities in SQL and proven expertise and successes building reports and dashboards using Power Queries, and PowerBI. Given the growing need of data analytics at the Bank, the successful candidate will have substantial experience working with large, complex data, as well as experience guiding business users in developing effective reports and dashboards. Demonstration of exceptionally strong attention to detail and the ability to produce timely results with minimal supervision is critical to success in this role. This role will have a hybrid work schedule in our Boston office in accordance with the Bank’s Hybrid Work Program. More time will be expected in the office to support onboarding initially. Specific Responsibilities Business Analytics · Lead meetings with various department/functional stakeholders to identify research and analytics needs that will drive business profitability, enhanced member experience, and process optimization. · Support various Bank functional areas with research and analytics support, including automation of complex calculations requiring input from multiple data sources, predictive analyses of key business outcomes and associated business drivers, and other analytical and research tasks as assigned. · Create and maintain dashboards for various functional areas at the Bank to provide management with key business insights. · Create data and analyses to be delivered to membership related to the Bank’s products and services. · Gather market and competitor intelligence to support business development efforts and/or fulfill management/regulatory requests. · Partner with Bank Technology to identify opportunities for enhancing various functional areas’ usage of data and analytics. · Deliver presentations to stakeholders that tell a compelling story using analytics relevant to the audience. · Other duties and projects, as assigned. Reporting Management and Support (up to 30% of the time) · Support functional area leadership with regular reports of key data and trends for management committees, board of directors, and regulators. · Support functional area leadership with monitoring and tracking of various departmental and individual goals, which may require a blend of proactive and reactive activities. · Build and maintain queries to fulfill regulatory data requests. Education + A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Quantitative Economics/Finance, or related field is required or equivalent experience. + Advanced degree or certification in data science/analytics is preferred. Required Knowledge/Skills + Required technical skills (with demonstrated successes using these tools over the timeframe described below) + Advanced SQL + Advanced Power Queries in Excel + Advanced Power BI (or equivalent: Tableau, Qlik, etc.) + Microsoft Copilot experience preferred but not required + 7 years of experience minimum in data analytics, including work with complex data from multiple sources, data cleaning/reconciliation issues, and experience advising non-technical business users on data analytics and reporting + 5 years of experience minimum with visualization tools + Exceptional attention to detail and ability to quickly identify data issues and solutions + Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience successfully partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive improved outcomes for the business through analytics. + Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts and experience with applications. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Working knowledge of statistical models and business intelligence. + Self-starter with intellectual curiosity to seek solutions with minimal guidance. + Passion for continuous learning. + Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
