As the Data Analytics Manager within the Data Practices and Analytics division at the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), you will provide leadership for advancing data analytics, research, and evaluation for several complex educational programs that impact a large portion of the state's student population. Duties will include: + Provide consultative and supervisory work to develop and evaluate solutions and strategies to address emerging issues related to the educational programs and legislation that the position oversees. + Manage multiple program priorities and activities for assigned education programs. + Supervise professional consultants and lead collaboration across MDE divisions and other state agencies. + Provide expertise and consultative services around data analytics, research, and evaluation to staff from across the agency and serves on the DPA leadership team. **Minimum Qualifications** 6 years of professional experience in educational data analytics and policy-driven data system implementation OR A bachelor's or master's degree and 5 years of professional experience in educational data analytics and policy-driven data system implementation Experience must include lead, supervisory or managerial experience **Preferred Qualifications** + Advanced training and experience in education data analytics, research, and evaluation within a state government agency. + Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing complex student and education outcome data for federal and state mandates and reporting. + Experience managing information technology projects that ensured data tools meet the appropriate technical needs of educational program data analysis and met implementation deadlines. + Advanced knowledge of Minnesota's range of assessments for evaluating student readiness, proficiency, progress, accountability analysis, student outcomes, educational policy, and the state legislative change process. + Experience leading, mentoring, and supervising seasoned professional consultants related to data analytics, project management, and professional oversight. **Additional Requirements** A job offer will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
