We are currently recruiting for a Data Analytics Officer for our Data Management Office in Amsterdam.

Your impact at MUFG 

Reporting to the Head of Data Management, Data Analytics (Engineer) role contributing to and driving forward a number of key project deliverables including Data and Reporting requirements. 

Undertake analysis activities in line with the project schedule to obtain and validate data definitions 

Undertake investigations of questions around data in the strategic projects and coordinating data gap resolution activities 

Ensure all relevant information is available to guide the design of data and reporting solutions 

Building data attribute definitions, model table structures, source system interfaces and business rules to ensure quality control and deliver exception reporting 

Delivering comprehensive test plans, scripts, execution of same across the full testing life cycle i.e. component, UAT, regression, integration, post implementation etc. 

Analysis of Azure / Fabric / Snowflake solutions to meet the requirements for complex data processing as part of a quantitative model 

Supporting the database/calculation/reporting applications during testing and rollout 

Ensuring that all model data related work meets regulatory and internal policy standards 

Liaise with and support the Project Manager, developers, end users, and other related workstreams to understand the business requirements 

Assist with the design and execution of user training and project documentation 

  

In addition, you will also proactively identify potential benefits and available options for consideration and work with business users in designing acceptance tests for new systems or changes to existing systems or business processes.

You will also document and maintain the traceability of requirements through to deliverables on any project, with the aim of ensuring the final delivery meets the business’ requirements.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Data Analytics (Engineer) role contributing to and driving forward a number of key initiative in the space of Data expected to have below skills

Industry Knowledge 

Must have experience of the specific domain Financial Service and/or Banking to tailor models and analyses effectively 

Technical Skills 

Programming skills in Python, Scala (For data manipulation, pipelines, and automation) and SQL (Proficiency in querying, processing and managing databases) 

Data Warehousing: Experience with tools like Amazon Redshift, Google Big Query, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse 

ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes: Designing pipelines with tools like ADF, DBT or AWS Glue 

Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure 

Databases: Familiarity with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) 

DevOps & CI/CD: Tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems like Git for building automated deployment pipelines 

Knowledge of Data Formats: Understanding of file formats like JSON, Parquet, Avro, and ORC 

Data Security and Governance: Knowledge of encryption, access controls, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) 

 

Analytical Skills 

Problem-solving: Addressing performance bottlenecks, system failures, or data inconsistencies 

Data analysis: Understanding data trends and how to structure data for analysis

Communication: Explaining complex systems to stakeholders in English

€5,00 net remote working compensation per day, with a maximum of €60,00 per month.
