Data Analytics Scrum Master The Data Analytics Scrum Master will serve as a member of the Data Analytics product team guiding the team through agile ceremonies and administrating the team's work management tool (JIRA). In addition, the Scrum Master will be called upon to manage other cross functional teams as the need arises for other data driven initiatives. The Scrum Master is a servant leader for the team adopting a holistic approach to work and promotes a sense of community. The Scrum Master coaches the team on agile principles and practices. The Scrum Master is an advocate for the team and assists the team with continuous improvement to achieve greater effectiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum Team's effectiveness and must be flexible in how teams will need to be managed (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, Milestone Driven) depending on the work environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate must understand and have experience working as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist. The Scrum Master will also be a key contributor on data initiatives through the delivery of data pipelines, reports, dashboards, and insights derived from multiple data sources and types. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt to changing work environment and be flexible in their approach to tasks as needed to meet the changing requirements. If capacity is constrained, the Scrum Master could be called upon to assist in actual development or testing of reports and dashboards based on documented business and data requirements while providing functional oversight to junior team members. You might also assist in maintaining data and visualization capabilities of developed data assets to ensure quality and support reuse. Additional reporting responsibilities could include: * Oversees the delivery of reporting capabilities as a part of a delivery team executing consultative insights and analysis to business decisionmakers. * Performs routine quality checks on existing data assets to ensure integrity and recommends solutions to data quality issues. * Supports the enterprise data strategy by delivering requirements supporting report automation, SLA's and data quality thresholds based on business needs. Position Responsibilities: Scrum Team Support * Guides the Scrum Team's focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done. * Removes impediments to the Scrum Team's progress. * Ensures that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox. * Shields the team from external influences. * Guides the team on how to use agile values, agile principles, and agile framework practices to delight customers and contribute towards building a culture of trust, respect, simplicity, courage, transparency, and agility. * Helps find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management. * Helps the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items. * Helps establish empirical product planning for a complex environment. * Assesses the agile health of the team and coach them to higher levels of fluency at a sustainable pace for the team and department. * Embodies agile behaviors and practices while exhibiting an innovative attitude and an aptitude to embrace change and improve the practices and processes of the team daily. * Oversees the scrum process, coaches the team; facilitates transparent and adaptive culture. Communication/Collaboration * Facilitates discussion, decision making, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement. * Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment. * Build effective partnership with the Product Owner and provide mentoring and support especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog and release planning, aligning delivery expectations with all stakeholders. * Coordinates with Project Management. * Participate in the Scrum of Scrums.
