Your scope of duties:
Designing and building new functionalities and solutions to client use cases, utilizing your extensive experience in Cloud technologies (e.g., Storage Accounts, Databricks, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Synapse). Building the data platform required for optimal loading and processing of data from a wide variety of data sources. Data modeling and mapping between source and target systems. Acting as Subject Matter Expert for Testers, Developers, and Business Users in Data solution functionality. Defining and estimating the scope of work needed for the implementation of data systems. Gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements for Data systems (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, other analytical applications). Collaborating with team members, mentoring other data engineers in the team to plan, develop, and implement project activities to achieve project and client goals. Supporting in growing Data competency within the Data&AI Team. Supporting sales initiatives (e.g., workshops, proof-of-concept, product shows). Very good English language in verbal and written communication. Willingness to develop in Data & Analytics and Gen AI space. Excellent collaboration skills to interact with teammates and other stakeholders. Ability to plan, track, and report the status of the deliverables. At least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or similar. 2-6 years of experience in building data and analytics applications, systems analysis role, gathering requirements, data modeling. A strong understanding of data structures, databases, data lakes, and data ingestion and transformation routines. Knowledge of Big Data with a focus on data engineering; optimizing data, pipelines, ETLs. Advanced knowledge of query languages (SQL). Coding and development skills in programming languages (e.g., Python, PySpark). Experience implementing production-level deployments at an enterprise scale, understanding of DevOps/DataOps principles, working knowledge of Git. Working knowledge of data visualization/reporting tools such as PowerBI. Experience in building applications using LLMs (foundation models, APIs, frameworks, prompt engineering, and techniques). Experience in building modern application architecture (microservices, REST API, Kubernetes containers). Proficiency working in an Agile environment.Additional Assets:
Experience in large, international Data solution implementation programs. Experience in the finance and insurance industry. Experience and knowledge of building warehouse technologies including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, Spark. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps or similar work tracking tools. Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality concepts and standards. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS). Knowledge of ML/AI tools. Working experience with NoSQL, Graph database solutions. Experience with Guidewire Suite products.
