Description We are in the process of recruiting a Data Architect, C. Advanced, to join our team located in Tallahassee, Florida. The individual will play a crucial role in the realm of information technology services, focusing on data architecture and management. This role is a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Engage with stakeholders and the development team to establish project scope and vision, and prioritize requirements.
• Develop comprehensive data architectures to align with the organization's goals, utilizing Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and other Azure data services.
• Efficiently manage Dedicated SQL Pools in Synapse for large-scale data warehousing and analytics workloads.
• Design, implement, and manage databases with Azure SQL and Azure Managed Instance, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Develop and manage ETL processes using Synapse Pipelines for efficient data flow from various sources to the data warehouse.
• Implement data governance practices and manage the data catalog to ensure data consistency, quality, and accessibility.
• Create and maintain data models, ensuring they are scalable and optimized for performance.
• Implement and oversee data security measures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Maintain procedures manuals and system documentation.
• Research software solutions, analyzing current and future technology trends. Requirements • Proven experience in database design and development.
• Proficiency in data warehousing and integration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, specifically T-SQL - Transact-SQL.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
• Proficient in the use of monitoring tools for data management.
• Deep understanding of best practices, principles, and methodologies in data architecture.
• Demonstrated ability in analytics and optimization techniques.
• Experience in developing and implementing procedures related to data architecture.
• Ability to ensure compliance with data security regulations.
• Strong understanding of compliance functions within data architecture.
• Excellent research skills and ability to apply findings to architectural design.
• Demonstrated experience in working with stakeholders to define data needs and requirements.
• Ability to design scalable solutions to support data growth.
• Excellent writing skills for clear and concise communication.
