Job Description:
Our client seeking an experienced Data Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to join their team. In this role, the Data Architect will be pivotal in designing and deploying enterprise-scale data analytics solutions. The Data Architect will be responsible for creating and managing datasets for Power BI, leveraging Microsoft Fabric components, and implementing best practices in analytics. The Data Architect will ensure data solutions meet business requirements and are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Develop and deploy enterprise-scale data analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, Notebooks, Dataflows, Data Pipelines, Semantic Models, and Reports). Create and manage Power BI datasets, ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft Fabric and optimizing data transformation for performance and scalability. Implement analytics best practices, including version control, deployment strategies, and CI/CD pipelines within the Microsoft Fabric environment. Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards, focusing on protecting sensitive data. Partner with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Database Administrators, and Power BI Data Analysts to design integrated data solutions. Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric. Apply advanced knowledge of data modeling, transformation, and exploratory analytics. Utilize programming skills in SQL, DAX, and PySpark for data transformations and model optimization. Manage Git-based source control for analytics assets, ensuring effective version control and collaboration. Qualifications: Proven experience in data architecture and analytics with a focus on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, PySpark, and other relevant programming languages. In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data transformation, and CI/CD practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Certifications in Microsoft Fabric or related data analytics technologies are preferred. Experience with higher education data systems is a plus. POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
