Responsibilities of this role This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to work as part of our CRS Ecosystem Reporting & BI Product Team. You will be responsible for delivering a databricks data lakehouse that will drive a range of internally focused reporting and business intelligence solutions to colleagues across multiple regions. The role demands a strong technical background with exceptional analytical skills. We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to solve complex problems. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Testing, monitoring, and maintenance of existing pipelines. Optimise data processing workflows to ensure high performance and reliability Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data architects, BI analysts, stakeholders and clients to support data-related needs. Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and system transparency as well as contribute to development of the data migration playbook. Skills and experience that will lead to success Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer or a similar role Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data processing and transformation. Proven track record in using Databricks for data engineering, including cluster management, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and other Databricks-specific features. Strong understanding of data processing, data warehousing, data lakehouse and data modelling concepts Ability to understand and address data implementation challenges Good understanding of CI/CD process and DevOps model of deploying code Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information effectively Ideally some experience with Oracle to understand the business logic for the legacy data warehouse. College Degree qualified in Business, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field.
