HOW A DATA AUTOMATION ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Support the Geospatial Services and Solutions business area to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions to the customer.

Design and implement automation solutions to enhance data capture, data refinement, and processes.Interface with device APIs in order to collect operational metricsAdminister and automate data pipelines between different environmentsProduce and deploy code via GitLab projects in collaboration with other team membersUtilize best practices for source control, testing, and deployment of software changesWork in close collaboration with other automation engineers, infrastructure administrators, and data scientistsDiagnose, isolate, and expediently resolve complex problems pertaining to data structuresDevelop methods of ensuring data incompatibilities among systems are systematically eliminatedDevelop and recommend data management policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent data management operationsParticipate in continuous improvement efforts to increase data availability, data quality, and speed of accessMaintain up-to-date documentation of designs/configurations, ensuring team members have continuity of recurring tasksIn office work requirement > 80%Travel requirement 0%

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience8+ years of related systems engineering experienceScripting, coding, or software development experienceComfort with Linux/Windows command-lineAutomation mindsetSystem administration and/or DevOps environment experienceActive TS/SCI clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI poly

Desired Skills:

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $131,583. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
