CGI is seeking a Sr. Data Catalog Analyst/Developer with hands-on experience using Databricks and Unity Catalog (knowledge of Informatica EDC/Axon will be nice to have), to design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive data catalog and glossary system to capture and document technical and business metadata. That includes data definitions, data ownership, business and quality rules, accessibility and usage, technical data characteristics, data lineage and other appropriate information to make enterprise data more accessible and usable. This role is located at the client site in either Miramar, FL or Dallas, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** • Design, develop, and maintain catalog systems using tools like Databricks (preferred) and Informatica. Proficiency in data management and digital asset management is essential. • Input and manage new metadata, ensuring up to-date records. • Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity. • Collaborate with data scientists, functional SMEs, and other team members to resolve data issues. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cataloging and data management. • Provide training and support to catalog system users. • Collaborate with the Data Management Teams on standardizing the catalog and its contents. • Engage in continuous improvement of cataloging processes. • Experience with cloud-based data solutions is advantageous. **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** • Strong experience in data governance concepts, principles, and practices with emphasis in Data Catalog and Metadata Management. • Proficiency with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Python, Spark, and SQL and streaming platforms like Kafka • Experience in Data engineering concepts and principles as well as hands-on experience developing data pipelines • Experience with cloud platforms- AWS and Utilizing cloud-based storage solutions such as S3. • Hands-on experience Implementing data governance and data cataloging/quality solutions in cloud environments. • Experience with structured and unstructured data management. • Strong SQL skills for database querying and manipulation. • Familiarity with Airflow for workflow management. • In-depth knowledge of AWS, including security, data handling, and storage solutions like RedShift and S3 • Strong analytical skills • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, discover, and resolve technical issues. • Excellent communication (verbal and written and presentation) skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to document processes and frameworks clearly for future reference. • Timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism • Experience with preparing and delivering training materials specifically related to Data Governance and Data Catalogs CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,500 - $173,500.
