Kforce has a client in Kennett Square, PA that is seeking a Data Catalog Lead responsible for ensuring that data within the organization is properly cataloged, maintained, and analyzed for quality. The Data Catalog Lead will act as a subject matter expert for data governance practices, including metadata management, data quality assessments, and data stewardship. This role will help the organization improve the discoverability, reliability, and security of its data, ensuring compliance with data governance standards and contributing to the success of various business units. Responsibilities: * Work with business intelligence teams to integrate the data catalog with tools like Power BI, ensuring seamless data discoverability for reporting and analytics purposes * Implement and maintain end-to-end data lineage tracking within the data catalog, enabling accurate impact analysis and ensuring transparency across data assets * Act as a liaison between departments, conducting outreach to promote the adoption and usage of the data catalog, including identifying key use cases and gathering feedback for continuous improvement * Develop, implement, and manage the organization's data catalog, ensuring accurate data representation and metadata management to enhance data discoverability and usability across departments * Perform complex data quality assessments on data sources and products, ensuring referential and historical integrity. Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement processes for continuous improvement * Collaborate with data stewards and governance teams to enforce data governance standards, including data quality, privacy, and security, to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies
