Data Center Energy Regulatory Analyst
**Summary:** Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates to deliver our innovative services. Meta is seeking an experienced, organized and self-motivated individual to support the tracking, analysis, and engagement in electric utility regulatory proceedings in jurisdictions where Meta has existing data centers or is considering developing new data centers.In this role, you will be a key contributor to Meta’s energy team, specifically supporting Meta’s participation in regulatory dockets and utility stakeholder processes at state public utilities commissions or regional transmission organizations on issues related to reliability, interconnection process, energy rates, new tariffs, access for customers to secure clean and renewable energy, or long term utility resource planning. Your responsibilities will include: reviewing, monitoring, and tracking regulatory proceedings, evaluating and documenting impacts of various electric utility proposals on Meta’s operations, and supporting the development and mobilization of Meta’s external engagement strategies. In this role you will work closely with a cross functional team including members of Meta’s energy, legal, site development, and policy organizations. **Required Skills:** Data Center Energy Regulatory Analyst Responsibilities: 1. Review, track, analyze, and summarize utility regulatory proceedings including general rate cases, changes in customer obligations to secure retail service agreements, utility resource planning and procurement, new tariff proposals, etc. 2. Support the development of Meta’s external engagement strategies, including potential participation in trade organizations or multi-company joint interventions. 3. Lead the initial review of regulatory proposals and evaluate the potential impacts of those proposals on Meta’s operations, data center development plans, and sustainability goals, and ensure consistent policy positions across the Meta fleet. 4. Build and maintain relationships with internal partners including energy managers, energy program managers, energy analysts, site selection, legal, policy, and other other departments. 5. Implement processes to optimize regulatory docket identification, tracking, and reporting. 6. Lead communication and deliverables between internal stakeholders and consultants. 7. Support the execution of overarching and site-specific energy infrastructure strategies for Meta’s data centers. 8. Support and participate in various ad-hoc energy initiatives for Meta and its energy program, driving successful outcomes and delivering value to the organization **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 9. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental, or other related discipline. 10. 3+ years of work experience with an electric utility, state regulatory commission, regional transmission organization, financial institution, energy supplier, energy consultant, renewable energy project developer, or other related field. 11. Experience with utility regulatory proceedings and processes, regional transmission organizations, and energy market fundamentals and dynamics. 12. Experience analyzing and interpreting utility proposals, including rate or other tariff changes, green tariffs, and/or utility resource planning dockets. 13. Proven communication, organizational and program management skills, with the experience to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. 14. Experience in building cross-functional relationships. 15.
