**Job Summary**
This role leads all aspects of the operations and development of a team of Critical Environment engineers onsite, ensuring they provide both Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services to the Client & their customers onsite (within agreed Service Level Agreement.) Also, assists the client's Data Center Manager, providing support for Data Center operations. Provide on-site support for the provision and maintenance of services.
**Essential duties and responsibilities**
Handle unforeseen circumstances that occur and provide relevant feedback to Client / CBRE management where vital.
Mentor & empower the team, providing them with regular feedback to ensure they continually improve. Identify areas for training where vital.
Overall responsibility for Configuration Management Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance, Configuration Management, or Repairs within the agreed SLA timeframe, or advance if issues cannot be resolved promptly.
**To ensure the completion of:**
+ Facility infrastructure equipment installations within the agreed SLA timeframe and to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards.
+ Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation and decommission requests and to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards.
+ Daily routine checks and cleanup of data halls and record their findings.
+ Mechanical and Electrical solving support (chiller, Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU), Static Transfer Switches (STS), etc.)
Ensure all deployments are installed to standards.
Ensure that all records are updated following any changes made and that documentation is also kept up to date for all applicable processes.
Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks, providing safe working practices at all times.
Overall responsibility to maintain relationship with Client, working with other CBRE partners to ensure all Master Service Agreement requirements are met.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
**Qualifications**

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**
High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelors Degree preferred. Demonstrated ability in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferred.
Accredited training in the installation of DC Facilities Infrastructure and Building Management System (BMS), preferred. Experience of leading and motivating a Critical Environment Team. A tried knowledge of Critical Facility or DC equipment and their components including UPS, PDU, STS, EG, CRAC, CRAH, etc. A strong understanding of the Data Center environment, and the working restrictions applicable to such environments.
**Interpersonal skills**
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
Respond optimally to critical issues.
**Financial knowledge**
Requires sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts sophisticated financial analysis.
**Reasoning Ability**
Comprehension, analyzation, and interpretation of sophisticated documents. Ability to tackle problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
**OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES**
Experience in a financial setting working with billing and payables; prior experience using a financial system; and, the ability to use Microsoft Excel.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and goals. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project goals. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
