An Oracle Data Center Technician will be the technical liaison between the technology teams and the Data Center Environment. You can troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues. As a skilled troubleshooter on a wide range of Data Center environments and systems, you understand which issues to escalate to the appropriate resolver groups. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved. Expected to improve current processes, and introduce automation with an aim towards simplification.
You can execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. 

Work involves problem solving. Understands and applies company policies and procedures. Supports day to day hardware maintenance and readily implements repairs for known failure modes in servers and network equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, evaluating issues and taking appropriate actions to resolve them.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in related field OR equivalent work experience Recent graduates are encouraged to apply if you can demonstrate interest and knowledge in the position and a willingness to learn on the job  Min 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200+ server systems). Min 5 years of experience in data center environment Be able to be flexible to work multiple shift schedules. Experience taking on-call shifts and ability to respond to critical events as needed. Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams or resourcefully and independently as an individual. Act within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you in your space. Diligent with excellent organizational skills. Demonstrates strong self-directed learning. Process oriented. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Effective diagnostic and problem-solving skills Attentive to detail Experience in Structured Cabling Copper/Fiber, Testing of cables, Cooling and Electrical systems concepts inside the data center will be a plus Good level of spoken English language is required.  Exercises excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Both written and verbal. Solid knowledge on operating system, hardware and network fundamentals, concepts, repair & diagnosis.
