Job Summary: TEKsystems is partnering with an industry leader to hire Data Center Level 1 Technician(s) to join our team in the Mesa, AZ area. This role is ideal for candidates with minimal experience from trade school or less than one year of professional experience in the cable/data space. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network cabling and equipment in a data center environment. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the installation, routing, labeling, and termination of CAT5/CAT6 cables. + Support the rack and stack of network equipment, including servers, switches, and routers. + Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of network cabling and equipment. + Ensure proper cable management and organization within the data center. + Collaborate with team members to complete projects and meet deadlines. + Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. + Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards. Qualifications: + Completion of a trade school program in a related field or less than one year of professional experience in the cable/data space. Any relevant internships or hands-on projects during trade school are a plus. + Basic understanding of CAT5/CAT6 cabling and network infrastructure and troubleshooting skills to assist in diagnosing and resolving issues with network cabling and equipment. + Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. + Good communication and teamwork skills. + Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or elevated surfaces. + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (D/BG compliance clearance required) + Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. + Completion of a trade school program in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications) is preferred. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
