Data Center Technician
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity for a Data Center Technician in the Healthcare and Social Assistance industry located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves supporting data center operations and staying up-to-date with industry standards, technological growth, and changes. This is a campus-based position that may require covering shifts at any hour and occasional travel to remote facilities. Title: Data Center Technician Location: Irving Pay: $30-40 per hour Duration: 6 month Contract to Hire Responsibilities • Respond to system hardware issues by diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing, and reimplementation • Monitor and respond to system events/alerts and identify potential root causes • Carry out shipping/receiving duties for accurate inventory control and asset tracking • Utilize elevated access and sound judgement during remediation processes • Assist with project initiatives and collaborate with other technicians and engineers • Conduct issue tracking and respond to incidents promptly • Run cables as specified in work orders, including Fiber and Ethernet • Assist with auditing and verification of data center equipment and operations • Interact with clients via written communication and phone, providing high-quality customer service • Perform other duties as assigned Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar role in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies and Dell Technologies • Strong understanding of Active Directory and Backup Technologies • Familiarity with Computer Hardware, Microsoft Server OS, and Linux • Knowledge of DHCP, DHCP-DNS, DNS, and DNS-Domain Name System • Ability to perform Basic Network Troubleshooting • Experience with Cisco Networking and Comptia Network+ • Understanding of Network Connectivity, Network Devices, and Network Environment • Knowledge of Network Fundamentals • Experience in Data Center Operation and Data Center Technologies • Ability to manage Log Files, Log Defects, and Log Management effectively • No please note shown in the bullet points Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
