Our client, Global Leader in the Technology Industry is seeking a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support to join their team. **Job Title:** Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 **Location:** Hoffman Estates, IL **What’s the Job?** The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations. Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision. Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities). Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity. Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process. Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks. **Job Responsibilities:** • Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance • Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program • Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs • Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports **What’s Needed?** • Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required • 0-2 years experience required • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills • Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
