Data Center Technician - Night Shift
Job Description Our large retail client is looking for a Data Center Technician to join their data center support team. The position is a cross between supporting IT operations and data center hardware. The hardware responsibilities include installing and maintaining data servers and network equipment. Daily, this person will be doing racking and stacking, cabling, and configurations. The IT operations responsibilities include monitoring server support systems and environments, escalating and responding to alarms by performing tier 1 triage using LINU/UNIX. The team currently uses Solarwinds monitoring tool to support the server systems. This is not a hybrid position and the ideal candidate will be comfortable coming onsite for the overnight position.
