Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2

Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Datacenter Technician to join their team. As a Datacenter Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Datacenter Technician - Technical IT 2
**Location:** Irving, TX
**Pay Range:** $22-27/HR on Experis W2
**What's the Job?**
+ Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment according to specific instructions and safety protocols.
+ Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper setup of grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, quickly identifying causes and replacing faulty components as needed.
+ Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes, following standard procedures.
+ Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors, responding to program error messages effectively.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
+ AS in computer programming or equivalent training
+ Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
+ 2-4 years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
+ Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
+ Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and manage one's own time.
