As we constantly strive to have the most talented individuals working with us, a vacancy has arisen for a Record Centre Specialist (warehouse operative) to carry out a number of important tasks with an extremely high level of accuracy.
If successful, your main duties will include but are not limited to:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Picking of all customers media for daily routes
Storing of customers media from daily routes
Manual lifting / carrying of media from vaults to customers specified staging areas (use of hand barrows or carts may be necessary)
Must communicate verbally with customers, use mobile communications equipment and bar code scanners, know / obey traffic laws
Adhoc driving of vehicles on scheduled routes to deliver and pick up media containers in agreement with customers requirements (as indicated on Delivery Receipt and Pick-Up Authorisation documents)
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to pick and stage media in preparation for next delivery
Loading and unloading of media onto vehicles at the Centre
Maintain vaults to specified standards
Paperwork: obtaining appropriate customer signatures for re-calls, completing, signing and forwarding / filing driver’s daily paperwork. Completing all daily activity logs
On- call: available weekends and bank holidays for special projects as scheduled with a Supervisor
Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION OR SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well
Good driving skills required. Must have excellent driving record and hold a current full, clean UK driving license
Ability to work with minimum direct supervision
Ability to work independently
Must be PC literate
Must have a excellent attention to detail
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Utilise proper techniques to prevent injury while handling tools, media and containers
Accurate reconciliation of media picking and staging
Display courtesy at all times to customers and co-workers. Must maintain excellent driving record
Must wear uniform provided by Iron Mountain at all times whilst at work and when on-call
Excellent attendance record is required – a maximum of 6 days certified absence per annum
