The Data Cloud Technical Architect is a demonstrated thought leader in technical and functional aspects of customer engagements that lead to the successful delivery of Data Cloud projects.
This role is in CSG Professional Services, on the Data Excellence team. Its functions are split equally between delivery and internal employee enablement, whereby half of the role is customer-facing and involves serving Salesforce’s enterprise Data Cloud customers as a technical advisor on their Data Cloud trials and implementations, and the other half is spent on enabling CSG employees on Data Cloud by providing technical expertise, documenting reference architecture, building reusable assets, running live enablement sessions, and providing from-the-field feedback (Voice of the Customer) to the Product and Engineering organizations to contribute to product enhancements.
Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant Salesforce Data Cloud experience or equivalent Customer Data Platform experience, e.g. Adobe Real-Time CDP, Tealium AudienceStream, Segment, ActionIQ, Treasure Data, etc.Marketing database/data warehouse experience preferred, e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server, etc.Experience with data management concepts, including master data management (MDM), data integration, data transformation (ETL), and big data management, preferably using cloud-based tools/infrastructureSalesforce Data Cloud Consultant certificationRelevant Salesforce experience in Sales & Service Cloud as well as Marketing Cloud, related certifications is a plus (Marketing Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, Sales Cloud Consultant, etc.)Strong aptitude toward communicating complex business and technical concepts using visualization and modeling aids, and the ability to conceptualize and create sophisticated diagrams and documentsStrong desire and aptitude to learn new technologies quickly and thoroughlyDemonstrated ability to influence a group audience, facilitate solutioning and lead discussions such as implementation methodology, architectural roadmaps, enterprise transformation strategy, and executive-level requirement gathering sessionsKnowledge of Data Governance and Data Privacy concepts and regulations a plusWillingness to travel when needed (expected to be less than 10%)Leadership Qualities:
