Position Description
The Data Compliance Technician is responsible for monitoring and working with departments verifying employee data is entered accurately, timely, and in compliance with civil service rules, policies, and procedures for all Human Resources processes. Performs related duties as required.
The Metro Human Resources Department is seeking talented people interested in a career in public service. Generally, this position works a hybrid work schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days virtual work.
Typical Duties
+ Performs, monitors and reviews daily transactions made to HR related systems primarily using Oracle applications.
+ Collects and analyzes data to address benefits related issues within the department.
+ Reviews and contacts departments daily for any discrepancies on reports on reports or paperwork.
+ Acts as a liaison with other system entry and compliance staff.
+ Assist vendors/departments with insurance eligibility or gathering information regarding employee benefits.
+ Calculates arrears and refunds for insurance premiums.
+ Provides customer service to departments as well as outside vendors doing business with Metropolitan Government.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft products, MS Products and/or other HR related systems
+ Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
