Data Engineer
Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a mid level Data Engineer to support our NSWC team on-site in Corona, CA! The individual plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing data infrastructure to support Navy operations, intelligence, and decision-making. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring the efficient processing and integration of large data sets from various sources. The Data Engineer works closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to provide reliable data that can be used for advanced analytics, machine learning models, and real-time decision-making processes. This position is on-site in Norco, CA and requires that the candidate is eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities:Will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and architectureWill work closely with data architect, data engineers and data analysts to ensure the availability and reliability of data pipelines and systemsDesign, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines and infrastructureCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop efficient data assetsImplement data integration, transformation, and cleanse pipelines using industry best practicesDesign and implement data models and schemas to support business reporting and analyticsIdentifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and data quality issuesManaging and monitoring data storage, backup, and recovery systemsPerforming data validation, testing, and ongoing data quality assuranceBasic Qualifications:Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret ClearanceBachelor’s degree in engineeringLocal to the Norco, CA area5+ years of demonstrable professional experience working as a Data EngineerExpert knowledge of data processing and transformation techniquesIn-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologiesExperience with Python, SQL, and/or other coding languagesExperience working with GitExperience with data engineering low code and no code toolsProficiency in designing and implementing data models and schemasStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentEffective communication and collaboration abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with Government or DoD (Navy, Army, Marine Corps, or Air Force) entitiesMaster’s degree in EngineeringThe compensation range for this position: $90,000 - $105,000 annually.
