Data Engineer

System One has an exciting Data Engineering opportunity with a partner in the Tulsa, OK area.  This position will be responsible for working with complex data sets across an organization spanning multiple states.  The qualified candidate will possess at least 5 years of in-depth use of Power BI and SQL.  This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity requiring in-person, on-site work during normal business hours.  Qualified candidates must be local to the Tulsa, OK area as the company will not be willing to relocate anyone at this time.  The company is offering a full benefits package including health, retirement, and a robust paid time off plan.  Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.

Responsibilities  Manages and allocates resources for project requests and service desk ticket requests ensuring high customer satisfaction and efficient use of the systems. Communicates with Data Analysts to coordinate agency-wide system activities. Oversees application implementation and system customization to include the development of alerts/hard stops, data integration, order generation, automation of document entry and enforcement of adherence to workflows. Interprets, modifies, analyzes and designs clinical data and information systems. Collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate current functionality and develop future applications by building consensus and using efficient decision-making processes. Recommends innovative ideas, processes, and/or procedures for enhancements, additions, and modifications to improve existing systems. Researches client data across multiple applications to resolve discrepancies and/or improve workflow. Manages and leads the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of clinical data systems. Develops and works with other members of the team to implement solutions for system related problems to minimize operational impact. Maintains transparency and communication of projects, statuses, escalation of problems as well as data overview reports for leadership. Qualifications Bachelors in Computer Science or similar degree required, Masters Degree Preferred. Minimum of 5 years of in depth Power BI and SQL experience Strong understanding of relational databases & data structure Strong technical foundation in data analysis & visualization tools Understanding of IT application, infrastructure, and security requirements. Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Detail oriented and capable of exploring innovative solutions to solve complex problems and address issues with a combination of delivered and custom-developed tools. Must be a methodical and pragmatic problem-solver. Attention to detail in all tasks assigned. Ability to compile, code and categorize, or verify information/data.
