We are looking for Data Engineer.
Before our software developers write even a single line of code, they have to understand what drives our customers. What is the environment? What is the user story based on? Implementation means – trying, testing, and improving outcomes until a final solution emerges. Knowledge means exchange – discussions with colleagues from all over the world.
Join our Digitalization Technology and Services (DTS) team based in Bangalore.
You’ll make a difference by:• Designing and implementing robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into our data platforms.• Automating data integration and ETL processes using tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka.• Monitoring data quality, identifying and resolving data issues, and implement data governance practices.• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.• Evaluating and recommending new data technologies, tools, and architectural patterns to improve data infrastructure.• Contributing to the development of data engineering best practices and standards across the organization.• Mentoring and guiding junior data engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Job Requirements/ Skills:• 6-9 years’ work experience in Software Engineering especially in professional software product development.• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar data-focused role.• Proficient in designing and implementing data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or similar.• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or other data engineering programming languages.• Familiarity with data engineering best practices, including data versioning, testing, and monitoring.• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.• Experience with agile software development methodologies.
