Description + Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines on the AWS platform using services such as AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, or custom-built solutions. + Implement and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources into AWS data storage solutions such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, or Amazon S3. + Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing, manipulation, and automation tasks within the AWS environment. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient data models, schemas, and architectures for storage and analysis. + Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing monitoring, validation, and error handling mechanisms within data pipelines. + Perform performance tuning and optimization of data workflows to meet SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and scalability requirements. + Stay updated with AWS services and best practices related to data engineering, and proactively suggest improvements to existing processes and architectures. + Provide technical guidance and support to team members on AWS data engineering tools, SQL, ETL processes, and Python programming. + Document technical specifications, workflows, and solutions for reference and knowledge sharing within the team. + Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of data-related issues and incidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. + Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS technologies. + Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying. + Experience with AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, and Amazon S3. + Proficiency in Python programming language for scripting and automation. + Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. + AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (preferred but not required).
