Data Engineer
Description We are in the process of expanding our Data & Analytics Team and are seeking a Data Engineer to join us in Midland, Texas. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, providing data visualization support to all business teams. This role is particularly suited to candidates with a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and data modeling. Responsibilities: • Participate in the creation and management of corporate Business Intelligence (BI) projects • Analyze datasets to aid in the establishment of KPIs, benchmarking, and the identification of business improvements • Assist in the optimization, update, and maintenance of various Spotfire reports/dashboards • Collaborate with business teams on reports, dashboards, and other analytics projects • Deploy necessary data queries and models to assist with business user needs • Provide training to the user community on our BI tools • Share knowledge and present analytic findings to both technical and non-technical audiences • Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work • Use skills in Microsoft SQL Server, Data Pipelines, R Programming, Databricks, Python, and Snowflake to enhance data analysis and visualization processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as a Data Engineer • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server • Experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines • Proficiency in R Programming • Demonstrable experience with Databricks • Strong knowledge of Python programming language • Experience with Snowflake data warehousing platform • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently • Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture • High level of analytical and critical thinking skills.
