Overview **This position is contingent upon award of contract** SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a highly qualified Data Engineer to structure and deliver datasets to the government. Essential Job Duties Ensure that data is clean, consistent, and secure. Poor data quality can lead to costly mistakes. Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines. Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. Ensure compatibility and interoperability between different systems and platforms. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and efficiency. Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders as needed. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields or in a related field (Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Data Science). The federal government requires employees on this contract to have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. This security clearance requires U.S. citizenship. Minimum of five (5) years of experience with data science and/or engineering, with excellent performance. Experience working with commercial AWS S3 and associated services, or comparative services from other cloud providers. Demonstrated experience with programs of similar size and scope. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word. Preferred Qualifications Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly concerning the ability to engage collaboratively and effectively in a virtual environment. Strong time and task management skills. Experience supporting data engineering requirements and systems within the IC. Work Environment Government site and remote.
