**Overview** ****This position is contingent upon award of contract**** SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a highly qualified Data Engineer to structure and deliver datasets to the government. **Essential Job Duties** + Ensure that data is clean, consistent, and secure. Poor data quality can lead to costly mistakes. + Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines. + Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. + Ensure compatibility and interoperability between different systems and platforms. + Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and efficiency. + Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation. + Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders as needed. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields or in a related field (Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Data Science). + The federal government requires employees on this contract to have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. This security clearance requires U.S. citizenship. + Minimum of five (5) years of experience with data science and/or engineering, with excellent performance. + Experience working with commercial AWS S3 and associated services, or comparative services from other cloud providers. + Demonstrated experience with programs of similar size and scope. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word. **Preferred Qualifications** + Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly concerning the ability to engage collaboratively and effectively in a virtual environment. + Strong time and task management skills. + Experience supporting data engineering requirements and systems within the IC. **Work Environment** + Government site and remote.
