We provide a positive, fun workplace where employees are appreciated. The Data Engineer will have a key role in the organization’s data management and governance initiatives. The position will support our work with assessing and understanding data across key business units of Learning Care Group. A key partnership for this position will be with the Human Resources Team to understand and execute their data priorities. The role will be responsible for development and documentation of data acquisition, transformation, and storage activities to support analytics initiatives. Essential Functions/Job Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities: + Support the engagement of stakeholders and application owners to improve their understanding of data assets to support their analysis efforts. + Act as a data SME for Oracle HCM Cloud data structures, subject areas, and reporting use cases. + Document data mappings from Oracle HCM Cloud relevant to reporting/analytics and provide guidance for updating the enterprise data catalog. + Understand, create, and improve data pipelines from Oracle HCM Cloud to the Data Warehouse. + Regularly analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data and organize into structures for end user analysis. + Provide guidance and assistance with ad hoc reporting requests as needed. + Develop and utilize tools to detect quality issues within data assets and report to application owners. + Meet data definition, data quality, data profiling, and data lineage expectations. Minimum Job Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) required, preferably in a technical or business field + Experience with Oracle HCM Extracts + Experience with the development of Oracle Fusion Cloud BIP and OTBI Reports + Minimum 5 years of data analysis, development and testing + Minimum 5 years of data integration experience + Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience + High level of proficiency with SQL + Experience with Power BI or other BI visualization tools + Experience with Microsoft SSIS or other ETL tools Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications: + Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas concisely and clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences + Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of business concepts. + Ability to work with cross functional teams, perform root cause analysis and resolve complex issues. + Ability to distill large amounts of data into coherent summarized written and oral presentations with appropriate context. + Detail oriented and consistency in producing accurate results. + Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines. + Strong SQL and data analysis skills to query a wide variety of data sources. + Ability to analyze data models, data taxonomy, and deep appreciation of data standards and quality. + Previous hands-on experience with ETL, data profiling, and data lineage tools. + Solid understanding of dependent web, data warehouse and database technologies. Compensation and Benefits: + Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid. + $90-105k base salary + This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
