We are looking for an experienced data engineering professional to join our Investment Management team within Nokia Technologies’ Patent Portfolio organization. The Investment Management team is responsible for driving and coordinating strategy development, investment and financial planning, as well as governance and reporting for the Patent Portfolio organization.
Your skills and experience
This roles requires a hands-on, iterative, approach to data engineering. The person needs to be self-guided and ready to take ownership and be senior enough to navigate and organize work across different cross-functional stakeholders.
You have:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of professional hands-on experience from end-to-end data engineering with Microsoft tools (Azure, MS Fabric) and Databricks Strong command of SQL and Python Previous experience from working with and understanding financial data Excellent communication skills in English: ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersIt would be nice if you also had:
Certifications: Azure Data Engineer, Fabric Analytics Engineer, or Databricks Familiarity with Azure services like Data Lake, Data vault, Stream Analytics, and other big data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spar) Previous experience with data visualization tools, for example Tableau or PowerBI Previous experience from developing simple UI interfaces to interact with data models Previous experience from working with patent and/or patenting related dataWhat you will learn and contribute to
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to develop and maintain data storage solutions, data pipelines, and UI interfaces that serve the Investment Management as well as the wider user base within Patent Portfolio.
As Data Engineer you will be a key enabler for the Investment Management team to efficiently work with data and drive initiatives in investment, cost efficiency, and portfolio analysis. As this is a completely new role within the team, you get to define what good looks like.
