Description We are in search of a Data Engineer to join our team located in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. This is a short-term contract opportunity that will focus on the development and maintenance of data systems in our industry. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Snowflake and Talend, as well as possess solid ETL and integration testing skills. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain tables within the Snowflake platform. • Utilize Talend to source data from Snowflake and create product data extract flat files. • Build and manage Talend jobs with multiple sub flows to generate required files. • Load data to Snowflake tables efficiently and accurately. • Conduct code reviews and unit testing to ensure the effectiveness and correctness of the code. • Responsible for loading historical data based on initial build requirements. • Conduct integration testing, taking into consideration the business needs. • Provide feedback on code changes and contribute to the code testing process rerun. • Utilize strong ETL skills to manage and transform data effectively. Requirements • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Proficiency in using Snowflake and Talend • Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes • Knowledge of Integration Testing • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Experience in data modeling and database design • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and processes • Understanding of data privacy and security principles.
