Key Responsibilities: + Design and Development: + Architect, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure tools. + Integrate diverse data sources into Azure Data Lake, ensuring proper data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes. + Data Management: + Manage and maintain Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and/or Azure Synapse, ensuring high availability and performance. + Implement data governance and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance for sensitive data. + Big Data Ecosystem: + Use Azure Databricks and Apache Spark for scalable big data processing and advanced data transformations. + Build and improve data lakes and warehouse solutions, utilizing technologies like Delta Lake. + Collaboration: + Work closely with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. + Automation and Monitoring: + Develop automated data workflows and pipelines using Azure DevOps CI/CD processes. + Monitor and troubleshoot issues with Azure resources and data pipelines using tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. + Optimization: + Optimize performance and cost of cloud-based data storage and processing solutions, recommending best practices where possible. Requirements + Technical Skills: + Proficient in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics. + Strong programming and scripting skills, particularly in Python, PySpark, and SQL. + Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark for big data workloads. + Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline architectures. + Cloud Expertise: + Deep understanding of the Azure ecosystem, including monitoring, scaling, and securing cloud services. + Database Management: + Proficiency in working with both relational (SQL Server, Azure SQL) and non-relational databases (Cosmos DB). + Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and database optimization techniques. + Version Control & Automation: + Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps. + Soft Skills: + Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. + Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams of stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with streaming technologies like Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, or Apache Kafka. + Certifications such as: + Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate + Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert + Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI. + Experience implementing data security protocols, including encryption and role-based access control.
