Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Data Engineer in the logistics industry, located in Eagan, Minnesota. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in designing and expanding AI and ML capabilities, overseeing our data warehouse, and enhancing our analytical abilities. Responsibilities: • Design and expand AI and ML capabilities to enhance business functionality. • Manage and oversee the company's data warehouse to ensure accurate and efficient data storage. • Enhance analytical capabilities to provide insightful data-driven solutions. • Migrate data workflows from Azure Synapse Analytics to Snowflake Analytics environment to improve data processing and analysis. • Collaborate with business leaders to leverage data for informed decision-making. • Drive platform and technology choices and own solution approaches and timelines to ensure optimal data management. • Maintain technical documentation to provide clear and comprehensive data records. • Lead BI solution design sessions, manage integrations, configurations, and API interfaces to improve data and AI accessibility. • Implement data automation processes using Azure Data Factory and Azure Function API’s for data ingestion into Azure Data Lake. • Work efficiently within an Agile environment to enhance team productivity. • Utilize best practices in developing architectural solutions with a focus on enterprise usability. • Project manage data-related projects, including migration to the Snowflake platform. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of detail-oriented experience as a Data Engineer in the logistics industry • Proficiency in using Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Cloud Technologies • Skilled in Data Visualization techniques and tools • Experience in Algorithm Implementation • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data • Prior experience working with Apache Hadoop • Proven track record in API Development • Familiarity with AWS Technologies is a must.
