Johnson Service Group is hiring a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake and Python.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data ingestion, transformation, science, modeling, and management.
Location: Lake Mary, FL
Hybrid work schedule of 3/2 or 2/3 once fully up to speed

MUST BE ABLE to work DIRECTLY (no 3rd party) as an employee of JSG!

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience working with Snowflake and Python. Proficiency in SQL and ETL processes Strong data modeling expertise, particularly with star or snowflake schemas Experience in data science and machine learning algorithms Proven track record in data management and governance Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable data storage solutions using Snowflake Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingestion and transformation Create and maintain efficient data models tailored to Snowflake's architecture Apply data science techniques to extract insights and drive business value Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data-driven objectives Required Skills: Advanced SQL skills for complex query writing and optimization Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as scikit-learn, numpy, and pandas Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and MPP databases Familiarity with BI tools integration (e.g., Tableau, Looker) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Snowpark Python for data engineering tasks Knowledge of dbt for data transformation and modeling Familiarity with data science workflows and best practices **Candidate will play a crucial role in architecting and implementing our data platform, leveraging Snowflake's capabilities and Python's versatility to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
